If you’ve always wanted to try skydiving but have been too scared to take the plunge, now’s your chance! With so many options for skydiving in New York City, it’s easy to see why the Skydiving Center in NYC is the number one choice for jumping enthusiasts. You’ll be completely equipped to jump, wearing specially designed gear, and with the help of a qualified instructor who will watch your back.
You’ll need to be 18 years of age or older to participate in this program. You must present a photo ID from a government-issued agency. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skydiver, the World Skydiving Center has a skydiving course for you. Jumpers must be healthy enough to jump and don’t have any underlying medical conditions. To participate in the program, you need to complete one tandem skydive or one solo jump.
The Skydiving Center offers both accelerated freefall student and tandem skydives. The former is a step-by-step process that requires two instructors to hold the skydiver during the 60 seconds of freefall. Students take a four to six-hour ground school before a jump, and then jump at a higher altitude than the previous one. The second option, the tandem jump, is an opportunity for new skydivers to try skydiving while accompanied by a certified instructor. Afterward, the skydiver will experience 60 seconds of freefall and a canopy ride back to earth.
The Oklahoma Skydiving Center has two tandem options for the thrill of freefall. You can jump from 18,000 feet with a friend or partner, and it is the highest freefall experience in the area. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a 10 minute canopy ride. These skydiving opportunities are seasonal and must be reserved. A minimum age requirement of 18 years old applies to skydiving. This is a great opportunity to learn how to skydive safely.
